Bending and Folding - ongoing
2024

1/1
My husband’s father passed away at forty-three and mine passed away at sixty-four. They never had the opportunity to go beyond what they had only recently learned. Aging, I finally understand, is a privilege. While we may moan about our less cooperative bodies and somewhat fuzzier minds, the fact is that there is a unique beauty that comes with getting older. Wrinkles and wisdom show up at the end of the alphabet where they should, an earned position that comes from passing through earlier, difficult times. As this series evolves, I will be looking at those times of grace that show up during the moments in between.
